CLOVER

Hi everyone my name is Clover and I am 7 yrs old. I have a slight head tilt from either a stroke or something else but we don't know for sure. This, however, does stop me from playing or doing anything else a proper lady should. I am totally house trained (I go to the back door and whine to go out) and I don't counter surf or table surf. I don't get on the furniture either because I prefer a doggie pillow by the couch.
I am not food aggressive at all but I really, really like to eat so you have to watch how much you give me. I walk very well on a leash and I love everyone, even the cats. I have lots of brothers and sisters and we all get along great. I am starting to play with the others and I especially love to play with my blind brother Abbott. I have not learned to play with toys (whatever they are!) but we are working on that. I love belly rubs and back rubs. I like kids of all ages and I am not afraid of wheel chairs.
If you are looking for a grand lady for your forever home please call. I am the one for you!

GOMER

Gomer is a 10 month old, very handsome, playful, loving, cuddly puppy!!! Gomer has a lot of energy, but he also calms down nicely and will cuddle up with you!!! Gomer is crate, leash, and house trained. Gomer is a little guy for right now (at 36lbs.), but he has got some HUGH PAWS!!!! Gomer gets along excellent with his foster brother
and sister. He also gets along excellent with children. We would recommend that he go to a home with children over 5 years old. Gomer likes to jump up one people and he could easily knock down a smaller child. We are working on the jumping issue with him now. We would also recommend puppy classes for Gomer. Gomer is ready, and can’t wait to meet his forever family. Won’t you give this handsome boy his forever home?!!!!!

SUZY

Meet Suzy, who came to GABR after her owner surrendered her to a shelter. According to the paperwork, Suzy was seven years old in June! This darling girl is house-trained, crate-trained (but doesn’t need to be crated) and loves all the dogs and cats in her foster home.
What a sweetie! Suzy has yet to meet a stranger and will do anything for a belly rub. She loves to wrestle and race around with her basset foster sister, but will also cuddle on the couch with any human who invites her up. Because she loves the great outdoors, a fenced yard is recommended.
Suzy needs eye ointment for Senile Endothelial Degeneration (corneal edema or swelling in cornea) applied twice a day. The cost of her medication is about $20 per month and will be a lifetime commitment. Visiting an ophthalmologist once or twice a year for a checkup has been recommended per U of I vet school. Don’t worry, Suzy sees fine even though her eyes are cloudy.
Suzy is a wonderful hound who is looking forward to finding her forever home. If you think Suzy is the one for you, please contact GABR today--you’ll be glad you did!!!

"In honor of my late Basset, Molly." - Edward Snyder - Urbana, IL JoDillo MAX

Max is a very special dog. He came to GABR after being abused as a stud in a puppy mill. Because of this, it takes Max a while longer to trust. For example, it took Max awhile room as them. Now, Max looks forward to his morning play room as them. Now, Max looks forward to his morning play time in the bed. It also took Max a while longer to time in the bed. It also took Max a while longer to understand how to play with other dogs. It is so much fun to watch him romp around the house with his foster sister! He takes baby steps toward things the rest of us take for granted, such as exploring the yard. It is hard to explain how many special moments Max has given his foster family in the little things that he does. One thing it will not take Max long to do is to steal your heart. After just one of his smiles, he will be yours forever.

RUDY **** Adoption Pending ****
Hi there! My name is Rudy Rudiger, named after the football player. I think that I am a bit of an athlete too! I have lots of puppy energy and LOVE To play with everyone! Sometimes my foster brother isn’t as excited to play with me, but that’s OK…I don’t let it get to me. I’m a really happy, easygoing guy.My first birthday is coming up this July and I would love to spend it in my forever home. I’m working hard to go to the bathroom outside all the time, but sometimes I forget. I love to sleep in my crate too – especially when it’s in my foster mom’s room – I don’t like it when she’ s too far away. The first few nights I didn’t sleep very well in my foster house, but I’m used to it now and sleep though the whole night no problem!I have learned some new tricks too – I know how to sit now and I’m very good at coming when I’m called. I don’t like to wonder and wouldn’t think of running away, I want to be with everyone else! I do love going for walks, but I wish my foster mom would walk faster. I try to pull here and she says that’s bad…I don’t think she is as athletic as I am.I’m having a good time with my foster brother and mom, but I just can’t wait to go to my forever home. So if you’re looking for a fun, easy going puppy, I’m your guy!
